A tribute whiskey shaped by Wyoming’s mountains and mission.
Wyoming Whiskey returns with the fifth installment of its National Parks Series, this time honoring the Grand Teton mountain range. Barrel maturation, wide-temperature swings, and wheated bourbon structure remain core to their annual series, but National Parks No. 5 adds a distinctly personal layer for the Kirby, Wyoming team.Like previous National Parks releases, the whiskey supports ongoing preservation efforts, with $5 from every bottle donated to the Grand Teton National Park Foundation. The bottle features Thomas Moran’s 1895 oil painting The Three Tetons, reinforcing the blend of art and place behind the series.Specs remain similar to the mid-2025 release,
Wyoming Whiskey National Parks No. 5 Tribute to the Tetons Bourbon Review: Tasting Notes

Nose – 4.1/5
Honey graham crackers. Cinnamon sugar. Light pastry.
Strengths: The dessert-leaning structure creates an inviting Nose. Notes of baked dough and honey sweetness give the Nose a warm, pastry-shop feel. An understated and faint orange note makes for a surprise on the Nose.
Why It’s Not Higher: While pleasant, the Nose stays confined to sweet-baked territory. It doesn’t evolve into oak notes or fruit layers, even with time in the glass.
Rating Justification: Sweet. It moves only slightly richer than the Acadia Edition but is squarely within the expected profile for its mash bill and proof point.
Palate – 4.2/5
Almond frosting. Cherry syrup. Honeyed sweetness. Vanilla. Soft wheat grain.
Strengths: The concentration of flavors is the standout. Almond and cherry notes bring a confectionary-like richness. Mid-Palate feels denser than the Nose suggests. The 96 proof works well, providing structure without burning off the rich pastry character.
Why It’s Not Higher: The Palate stays sweet. Doesn’t develop spice or oakiness over repeated sips. Fans of punchier profiles will likely find it too gentle.
Rating Justification: The Palate is the highlight; balanced, flavorful, and richer than expected given the age and proof.
Finish – 4.0/5
Cinnamon spice. Two-day old brewed coffee. Light leather.
Strengths: The Finish brings a welcome shift moving from sweet into darker flavors of espresso and milk chocolate. A hint of leather adds a sense of maturity. The cinnamon is gentle.
Why It’s Not Higher: The Finish is medium in length. It fades without turning in deep notes.
Rating Justification: Solid and flavorful. The length, however, is still moderate and keeps it from the next tier.
expected given the age and proof.
Value – 4.1/5
At $75, National Parks No. 5 delivers a well-made wheated bourbon. Purely on the liquid, the price point is slightly above market for the age and proof. But the artistic labeling, the partnership with the Grand Teton National Park Foundation, and the meaningful financial contribution from each bottle sold add weight to the purchase.
Wyoming Whiskey National Parks No. 5 Tribute to the Tetons Bourbon Review: The Verdict
Wyoming Whiskey National Parks No. 5 – Tribute to the Tetons is a warm, pastry-leaning wheated bourbon. The Nose is inviting, the Palate is the highlight, and the Finish adds espresso and milk chocolate that help to elevate the drink.
As with the entire National Parks Series, the bottle tells a story—the Tetons, the Moran artwork, and a philanthropic effort behind each. The whiskey inside remains true to Wyoming Whiskey’s profile: sweet and grain-expressive, and easy to enjoy. A meaningful release for the distillery.
