The Nose on OBSV is a masterful balance of bright fruit and warm spice.  Aromas of fresh peaches, ripe cherries, and warm vanilla complement the caramel undertones. There’s a slight herbal undertone of fresh mint or dill that adds complexity.

Palate – 4/5

The Palate is where OBSV always seems to shine. The high rye mashbill asserts itself with a peppery spice that quickly mellows into layers of sweetness.  Rich flavors of honey, citrus and the goodness of baked cinnamon apples. Mid-Palate is dark chocolate and roasted almond notes. The mouthfeel is velvety smooth which helps the flavors linger artfully.

Finish – 4/5

The Finish is long and satisfying, with a gentle warmth that gradually builds. Notes of toasted oak and black pepper give way to a touch of dried raisins before fading into caramel and citrus zest.
